Saturday 12km Walk
The starting point is on the edge of Red Hill Nature Reserve.
Follow the path along a section of bushland before making your way through the streets of one of Canberra’s more expensive suburbs toward Parliament House.

A path will lead you through manicured bushland, providing a lovely and quite different contrast to the natural bush you’ve been walking through at the start. The route goes through the gardens that surround Parliament House and then down to the Nara Peace Park.
Around Lake Burley Griffin to the Finish
The checkpoint is at the World Peace Bell, where you will have an oportunity to gong the peace bell, a feature of the annual MarchMingle.
The 12km route then goes around the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin, through Little Burley Markets and across Kings Avenue Bridge. You’ll pass the National Carillion on your left as you head west following the lake’s edge to finish back at the National Film and Sound Archive.
